Standard Flange Dimension Compliance

PCI flanged diaphragm seals conform to recognized piping standards including ANSI B16.5 for American installations, DIN standards for European plants, and JIS for Japanese markets. The flange drilling patterns, bolt circle diameters, and thickness dimensions match corresponding pressure class ratings enabling direct bolt-up to existing process flanges without adapters. ANSI 150# flanges suit pressures to 285 PSI at ambient temperature, 300# ratings extend to 740 PSI, while 600# flanges handle 1480 PSI. The raised face sealing surface accommodates standard spiral-wound, graphite, or PTFE gaskets creating leak-tight joints between seal and process piping.

Flush or Extended Diaphragm Configurations

Flanged seals are available with flush diaphragms mounting perfectly level with the flange face, eliminating dead space for viscous or coating media. This configuration suits food, pharmaceutical, and polymer applications where product accumulation must be minimized. Extended diaphragm designs protrude into the process, providing faster response times and improved accuracy for rapidly changing pressures. The extension also protects the diaphragm from direct fluid impingement in high-velocity flow applications. Material selection for diaphragms includes 316L stainless steel for general service, Hastelloy for corrosive media, Monel for specific chemical compatibility, and PTFE coating options for non-stick requirements.
